The Role of Bible Bookmarks and
Tracts in Spreading the Gospel:
In our world
today, we our faced with economic uncertainty, disasters such as
what happened with the precious souls killed in the World Trade
Center diaster in 911 (9/11/2001), earthquakes and tsunamis that
have impacted Japan, Haiti, and many other countries, along with
devastating droughts and fires in many countries including the
United States.
But, we are also faced
with the many promises that God gives us in His holy word, the
Bible. Christians look to God the Father, the Son Jesus
and the Holy Spirit who are preparing a place where they can
live eternally...where there is no pain, no sorrow, and no
tears.
The good news of Jesus Christ is a long
and beautiful story. In a nutshell, it involved the fact
that Jesus is God in the flesh....He is the Son of God and the
Messiah who came to this earth to die for our sins according to
the scriptures, to be buried in a tomb, and to conquer death by
rising from the dead three days later.
Jesus says in Matthew chapter 28 and Mark
16 that His disciples should go out into all the world and teach
the gospel to all creation. Are you a disciple of Jesus
Christ? Are you doing an effective job in passing along
this good news to everyone you meet?
We believe that there are many effective
means of introducing the gospel of Jesus Christ to others.
One of these means is through Bible Bookmarks or small tracts
that guide people to what the scriptures say.
Many times, tracts or bookmarks are
filled with man's words...and the ideas of men. We
encourage you to look for materials that direct people to read
their Bibles (and not just the bookmark or the tract).
