Detailed Instructions:

Note:  You might want to first copy down your current home page address if you decide to go back to it again at a later time (this is the url address for the web page you go to when you press the "Home" icon on your browser).  You might want to enter this home page address as your favorite link (see 2. above).

If you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer, you can click the link "Make This My Homepage" in the left margin of that page.  If this does not work...or if you are not using Internet Explorer or want to set it for yourself manually, then continue below:

What is a Default Home Page?

A default home page is the first page that you see when you open your internet browser* and is also the first page you see after you click the "Home" icon on your internet browser.   The instructions below will help you to change it so you can pick a different page to be the first page you see.

How do I change the Home Page?
  1. First print this page.

  2. Go to the page you want as your home page (don't do the work here...or you'll set this help page up as your homepage).  Click on the back button to go back to the page you want to set as your default home page.

  3. For Microsoft Internet Explorer Users:

    a.  Near the top of your screen on the Internet Explorer toolbar, click "Tools" and then "Internet Options."  Make sure you are in the tab called "General."

    b.  Click on "Use Current" under the section "Home Page."  This will select the current page you are at as your home page.  Click "okay" at the bottom of that window to save your selection.

  4. For Netscape Navigator Users:

a.  Near the top of your screen on the Netscape Navigator toolbar, there is an icon of a Home with a small down arrow to the right of the Home Icon.  Click on the down arrow and click on "Set Home With Current Page."

b.  If you don't see the small down arrow to the right of the Home Icon (not available on earlier versions of Netscape), click on "Edit", "Preferences", and then "Use Current Page" under the Home Page sections.

    5.  For Mozilla FireFox Users:

          a.  Near the top of your screen on the FireFox toolbar, click on Tools, Options, Use Current Page.

If you are using another internet browser, please check the help instructions for that browser.
