The short answer is that God has given us the Bible for us to read, think about, and choose whether we will believe and follow or whether we'll not follow. The hard copy (originally scrolls written in Hebrew and Greek) was, in essence, God's text message to the world. In an electronic form these thoughts from scripture are electronic thoughts or e-thoughts, hence the name eThought.

In the year 2000 we began by sending emails that only contained Bible verses at no cost to people around the world who subscribed. Our mission at that time, which continues today, is to share God's word with the entire world. A few years later we published a Bible reading plan that showed what New Testament scriptures to read each day, and what Old Testament scriptures to read each day, so it made it a simple process to read either the New Testament or Old Testament (or both) in a year. Later we began publishing various bookmarks or Bible cards that have scriptures on them. People around the world use these to share God's word with others and to encourage others.

No. Our mission is to share what the Bible says, to encourage people to read their Bibles, and to help individuals around the world share the Bible with others to encourage, teach, comfort, and more. While many denominations have creeds or faith statements that are written by humans, we would rather focus on what God says as revealed in the Bible through the inspired writers. eThought is a family-owned small business founded by an imperfect Christian who is an active member of the Lord's church. Grace and Peace.
